About Me

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocations of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

My name is Aaron Brodney; Engineer, Geek, Lifehacker and Hacker-for-life.

I am a cat-loving, technology enthusiast residing in Raleigh, North Carolina.  I presently work at Nutanix as a Systems Reliability Engineer.

I have previously worked in technology training, systems administration, product support and software development capacities for a range of organizations, including NCSU, Red Hat, IBM and NetApp.

In my spare time, I enjoy flying my DJI Phantom 3, tinkering with hobby electronics (see my blog!), software-defined radio and software development.  I have also been known to play some PS4 and Wii U sometimes.

I love Sci-Fi (Star Trek, Babylon 5!!) as well as crime shows (fiction & not), and cartoons oriented towards adults like South Park and Futurama.

I am a life-long Apple fan and Mac user.  I’d be lost without my MacBook Pro and iDevices.   I love Linux and run it on several systems, including a (large) home server.

This site is intended to be a publishing medium for my ideas, how-tos, thoughts and to show off my latest projects and inventions. I like to write sometimes.
